Introduction to our Puppet Tips Blog

One of the goals of this blog and our website Experience Puppets is to provide online training and helps to the puppetry community. Our emphasis is on puppet ministry for the Christian community and using puppets to teach about the importance of building character into your life for both sacred and secular teams.

On the website, we’ll include free tips, articles on various puppet related topics, some free puppet scripts, and answers to questions about puppetry. We also have comprehensive puppet training courses available at low cost to help teams with tight budgets.

This blog will include regular tips and suggestions to help you improve your puppet skills, answers to questions people are asking about puppetry, and some suggested resources for puppeteers and teams. I’ll also share some of my puppet experiences from over the past 25 plus years that I’ve been involved in puppetry. Some things we did worked well and you may want to incorporate into your team or ministry. Others were mistakes we made along the way and by sharing them; hopefully, you can learn from them and not repeat them yourself and save yourself both time and money.

Working puppets is fun. Performing with puppets to entertain is enjoyable and impacting because a merry heart really does a person good. But, reaching and teaching with puppets is all of that and more—it is rewarding. Puppetry has the power to impact people for good and bring about positive changes in their lives and to actually see it happen makes all the work and effort worthwhile. We want you to experience the fun and rewards of puppetry.
