Forgiven, But Not Forgiving

Puppet Script: Forgiven, But Not Forgiving

This play was written by Patty Brown and is a take-off on the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant found in Matthew 18. A person is forgiven much and yet refuses to forgive someone else for something relatively trivial. The lesson is on the importance of forgiveness. The cast is 3 boy puppets and 1 girl puppet, but any combination of four puppets will work if you change the names.

What's With All These Rules?

Puppet Script-What's With All These Rules?

In my classrooms, I have three basic rules, which if followed make for an orderly classroom. This play uses a puppet to teach the importance of classroom rules. He enters and unintentionally breaks the rules. As the emcee explains the rules and the reasons for them to the puppet, the children are reminded of them (or learn them) at the same time. The script also includes a reproducible rules chart.

I Can't Do It, It's Just Too Hard!

Puppet Script on helping children memorize a Bible verse

Memorizing Bible verses is an important part of spiritual growth, so it is a good idea to include them in your class time. In this play, a puppet needs to learn a verse, but doesn't think he can do it. The children are encouraged to help him, and by doing so, learn the verse themselves. Not only do they learn the words, but more importantly the meaning as well as a way to apply the verse.

Let's Have Some Fun!

Puppet Script- Let's Have Some Fun!The Bible lesson is a key element when it comes to spiritual growth. One way to know if you have communicated the lesson well is to ask review questions. If the children can answer most or all of them, you've gotten your message across. This play uses a puppet to help give directions for a lesson review game. It also includes the visuals and directions for making a simple, but fun lesson review game.
